CD “21st Century Breakdown” as well as “American Idiot” is written in the genre of rock opera, but even more daring and unusual. Perhaps, even loyal fans of Green Day was hard to believe that the talented trio will be able to surpass the phenomenal success of the CD “American Idiot”. However, they do it with a new work of “21st Century Breakdown”, tells us about the two heroes living in the U.S. after the George W. Bush. The best thing about the characters of heroes can be found in the tracks “Christian’s Inferno” and “Last Of The American Girls”. Track “East Jesus Nowhere” was a real cry of the soul Billie Joe Armstrong, of how people are manipulated by different religious organizations.
CD “21st Century Breakdown” has turned in the best tradition of “Green Day”, tense and cling to the soul from the beginning to the very end. Work “21st Century Breakdown” will long continue to collect full stadiums of spectators. This disc is definitely worth five years of waiting.
